With a focus on hepatobiliary surgery this year, stay tuned for a full program! In the meantime, we are pleased to announce two international speakers:
Ahmad Abou Abbass, M.D. is a board-certified surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, specializing in complex liver, pancreas, and gallbladder procedures. He trained at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he served as Senior Staff Surgeon. Now based in Southern California, he leads the Hepatobiliary Program at Mission Hospital and is known for his skilled, patient-focused care.
Horacio Asbun, M.D., FACS is a board-certified surgeon and internationally recognized expert in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He is Professor and Chief of HPB Surgery at Miami Cancer Institute and Florida International University. Formerly Chair of General Surgery at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, he has led major surgical societies including SAGES and AHPBA and continues to shape surgical standards worldwide through his leadership, research, and education.
